MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP SUPPORT ENDS APRIL 8, 2014. CDI CORPORATION’S PROVEN OS MIGRATION SOLUTION IS THE ANSWER!
CDI has a proven ability to reduce the complexity of Windows OS migrations. We provide proven project management with a cost effective, blended approach of entry level and advanced field technicians. Cost is decreased by dispatching those teams locally, from every zip code in the country, therefore minimizing travel dependencies and increasing the team’s scalability and flexibility to complete the job within the project timeframes.
One of our clients, a global supplier for industrial customers had 18,000 existing PCs in 75 North American locations. Faced with migrating them to the newer operating system and/or replacing PCs that were too antiquated to sustain the update, they turned to CDI’s Technology Solutions team.
“The application CDI developed exceeded our expectations and has enabled us to conduct business transactions more efficiently and accurately!”
An industrialization and energy company formed an affiliation with other international energy conglomerates to build power and water desalination plants in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The power and the desalinated water bi-product of the power generation is sold by each plant to a single entity: Abu Dhabi Water and Electric Company (ADWEC). Business transactions are based on either a Bulk Supply Tariff (BST) or through Power and Water Purchase Agreements (PWPA).After building its firstplant, it was apparent that it needed an account processing program that would interpret PWPAs and calculate ADWEC’s monthly invoices with consistent accuracy. CDI worked with client experts to bring TASS (Taweelah Account Settlement System) to the table. CDI then designed the architecture and framework of the system, translated the logic diagrams into software to arrive at a remarkable application on time and in budget.
“The solution CDI brought us has allowed our company to achieve more ― at a lower overall cost ― than what we could have with a traditional staffing model!”
Once a spinoff now a $7 billion leader in the test and measurement industry, CDI’s client realized that by adding a flexible component to their workforce, they could cost effectively expand into new markets and applications. However, they required specialized talent to design products that would help revolutionize test and measurement worldwide.
CDI’s discussions with the client initiated with Linux system development and support. As CDI listened they realized that the need was greater. What they truly wanted was to keep a core group of their own key employees and fully outsource the rest. CDI’s Managed Services for technology clients provided both service on a long-term basis – no tenure limits – and cutting edge expertise.
“CDI’s team developed an app with a highly-personalized user experience that includes a number of self-service features such as online prescription refills!”
The nation’s largest provider of health care products, services and technology wanted to offer its franchise pharmacies a tool that would increase sales and add value to the relationship. The independent pharmacists they served had already realized the competitive power of operating under a national brand, and sharing the resources the franchise affiliation afforded them. CDI suggested developing a web application that was customizable for individual pharmacy websites and would provide tech savvy consumers a way to easily refill their prescriptions online. The visually appealing, highly interactive and user-friendly web application would also generate email refill reminders and accept refill and over the counter orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
